About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang De Cocon, a small-scale and home-like childcare center located at Kerkweg 39 in Klundert, the Netherlands. We provide care for children from 10 weeks up to 12 years old, with a daycare group (KDV 'De Rupsjes'), an after-school care group (BSO 'De Vlinders') and a toddler group (Peuteropvang 'De Libelles').
Our daycare group 'De Rupsjes' is a vertical group for children aged 10 weeks to 4 years. The youngest learn from the older children, while the toddlers learn to take the babies into account. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every day to support your child's development at their own pace.
We are a flexible childcare provider: the number of children per day can vary. Our opening hours are from 07:00 to 19:00 on weekdays. From age 3, children can occasionally visit the reception class at nearby primary schools.
Kinderopvang De Cocon is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK number 103794761 for daycare) and is supervised by GGD West-Brabant. Childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) can be claimed.Read more

Summary
Kinderopvang de Cocon in Klundert was inspected on 11 August 2025 in the context of an application to expand the number of childcare places from 32 to 48. This concerned an unannounced incidental investigation into modification procedure and accommodation requirements. The location provides daycare (dagopvang) for children aged 0-4 years and provides early childhood education. As of 1 September 2025, a third group room will be brought into use. The inspection assessed the modification application and the space requirements for the new situation. The outdoor space of more than 200 m² is adequate. During the visit, the renovation of the new group room was still in full progress.
