At Kinderopvang Friesland, we understand that balancing work and caring for children can be a challenge. That's why we offer a second home for your child, with professional and dedicated staff who work locally and flexibly. Our daycare centers (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) are for children from 0 to 4 years old and are open from 7:00 AM to 6:15 PM. We provide a warm and pleasant atmosphere, with activities suited to your child's age, such as singing, movement, and playful learning with challenging toys. Each child has their own mentor within a fixed core group, who monitors their development and tailors care to your child's needs. We place great value on providing a safe and stimulating environment, following your home routine and habits as closely as possible, especially for babies under 1 year with a maximum of two fixed caregivers. For toddlers and preschoolers, we offer a daily rhythm with fixed rituals for emotional security. Our pedagogical policy is based on a positive, sensitive approach and respect for each child's individuality, inspired by Thomas Gordon. We offer preschool/toddler care (peuteropvang) for children from 2 years old, with playful learning about language, movement, and the world around them. Our materials and activities are challenging, and we use methods such as Uk & Puk and Piramide. For children who need extra support, we offer Early Childhood Education (Voor- en Vroegschoolse Educatie/VVE). Our after-school care (BSO) is for children from 4 to 13 years old and includes before-school and after-school care, with a wide range of activities and materials. Safety is paramount, with protocols and always someone present with first aid and emergency response (EHBO and BHV) diplomas. Rates are income-dependent, and we keep you informed of your child's development through our intranet system.
