Welcome to Kinderopvang & BSO Viela Vlinder at Spireastraat 4 in Musselkanaal. We are a small-scale daycare centre that offers a safe and familiar place for up to 15 children aged 0 to 4. Thanks to our homely character we get to know every child personally and parents quickly build a personal relationship with us.
At Viela Vlinder we work with a fixed, compact team of pedagogical staff. Because of this small scale we can respond flexibly to the needs of both children and parents. Short communication lines within our team ensure that information is shared quickly and accurately, so everyone stays informed about what is going on. For the children this makes the setting clear and familiar.

Kinderopvang & BSO Viela Vlinder in Musselkanaal is a new daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for a maximum of 15 children (ages 0–4) that received an unannounced inspection on January 30, 2025. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) finds that the facility meets the general quality requirements and that the pedagogical climate is good: there is a clear policy plan, staff respond to children in a warm and sensitive manner, and development is stimulated through play. All employees are qualified, hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and have the required language proficiency. However, there are three areas for improvement: the safety and health policy is incomplete (missing risk assessment), the outdoor space is not yet equipped, and the deployment of the pedagogical policy staff member was insufficient. Following a recovery offer, staffing guidance and parent information have been brought into order, but the safety policy has not yet been resolved. The GGD advises the municipality to take enforcement action.
