Welcome to KDV Greiner Op Stoom, the daycare centre right in the heart of Haarlem. Located at Voorhelmstraat 25, we are perfectly positioned in the vibrant city centre so you can drop off your child quickly and continue to work or appointments. Thanks to our homely atmosphere your little one feels at home in no time, allowing you to leave with complete peace of mind.
We provide loving care and have a clear vision of how we treat babies: we literally give them space. When your child grows a little older, your son or daughter will naturally discover our play corners, often together with a friend. We have no fewer than two gardens where children can romp to their heart’s content and we even have our own theatre. This gives imagination free rein and talents can develop in a playful way.
KDV Greiner Op Stoom is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We are closed on official public holidays such as New Year’s Day, Easter Monday and King’s Day. Summary
On 14 January 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Greiner Op Stoom in Haarlem. The location provides care for 24 children aged 0 to 4 years. All assessed quality requirements within the themes of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health are fully complied with. The pedagogical policy is concrete and implemented; pedagogical practice provides emotional security and stimulates development. All staff members hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), meet language and training requirements (including infant/toddler training) and are registered in the persons register. There is always at least one first-aid-certified adult present. The safety and health policy is current, practice-oriented and periodically evaluated; risks have been mapped and there are clear protocols for food safety, hygiene, evacuation and emergency backup. Staff are familiar with mandatory reporting, consultation and filing obligations in cases of suspected abuse. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
