Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Hoeksteen in Dokkum, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Fryslân on 15 June 2026. The daycare center provides full-day care for 32 children (ages 0-4) in two home groups and toddler care (ages 2-4) with subsidized early childhood education. All inspected items meet statutory requirements. The pedagogical practice demonstrates sensitive and responsive guidance. However, two safety risks were identified in the outdoor area: the fencing does not comply with building regulations (rail spacing too wide) and the gate was unlocked with a door handle accessible to children.
