About this care
BSO Lonneker is the place to be for children aged 8 and up in Lonneker. At our centre on Scholten Reimerstraat 8, Enschede, older kids have the freedom to do what they love. They can hang out in our computer corner to play games, browse the web or finish homework. Our qualified staff always pick up the youngest children from school on foot; when the distance exceeds a 15–20 minute walk we arrange transport by car, minibus or taxi. We are also open on teacher training days and study days—details are published at the start of each school year, depending on the number of registrations. Depending on group size and space we run either vertical groups (ages 4–13 together) or horizontal groups (split at ages 4–7/8 and 7/8–13), always tailoring activities to the children’s ages. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates a maximum of 28 children aged 4 to 13 years, divided across two base groups. All assessed requirements were met during this unannounced annual inspection. The pedagogical practice scores well on all aspects: emotional safety, respectful interaction, individual attention and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff know the children well and communicate in a warm, professional manner. No shortcomings were found in the areas of staffing, safety and health, and parental rights either. No recovery offer was made.
