At Je Beste Maatje, we believe that childminder care (gastouderopvang) is more than just babysitting. It is small-scale, homely care where every child receives the personal attention and care they need to develop optimally. As a parent, you have a fixed point of contact in the childminder (gastouder), who can quickly and effectively respond to the needs, character, preferences and talents of your child. We offer flexible childcare options, including evening hours and Saturdays, and can accommodate various care needs such as daycare, before-school, between-school or after-school care (BSO).

Je Beste Maatje is a nationally operating childminder agency (gastouderbureau) with regional managers active in various parts of the Netherlands. Our franchise model ensures small-scale, local mediation with the support of a national organisation. We currently mediate in almost all of the Netherlands with regional managers in various regions. Parents can contact the regional manager in their area for personal guidance in finding a childminder (gastouder).

Childminder Agency (Gastouderbureau) Je Beste Maatje is a municipality-recognised and registered childminder agency in the National Childcare and Preschool Register (LRKP). The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspects both the agency and the childminders annually for safety and health. We conduct our own home visits to childminders twice a year, with special attention to safety, guidance and care. The agency is affiliated with the Disputes Committee for impartial assessment of complaints and works with the improved Reporting Code on Child Abuse. All childminders and adult family members must submit a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
