Summary

GGD Hollands Midden conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at after-school care (BSO) De Oase in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel on 29 July 2026. The inspection took place following a request by the provider to expand the number of childcare places from 63 to 77. The inspection assessed whether the accommodation provides sufficient indoor and outdoor play area for this expansion. The existing indoor spaces on the second floor (220.5 m²) are supplemented with an additional room on the ground floor (54.4 m²), bringing the total indoor play area to 274.9 m². The outdoor play area consists of schoolyards with over 800 m². The GGD concludes that the spaces meet the legal requirements for 77 children. No shortcomings, areas for improvement, or violations were identified.
