Gastouderland offers small-scale childminder care (gastouderopvang) in a homely atmosphere, where your child always sees the familiar face of the same childminder (gastouder). This personal approach provides a safe and secure feeling. Childminder care is a flexible form of childcare where you only pay for the hours you actually need, with options for 24-hour care and accommodation of irregular working hours.

We actively search for a childminder who matches your wishes and those of your child. You can meet with multiple childminders until you have found the perfect 100% match. You only pay agency fees once a match is found, and we always strive for the most favourable calculation possible.

Gastouderland has national coverage with 23 locations throughout the Netherlands. Our regional consultants work locally and are always available in your area for personal contact and short lines of communication. We have a large database of qualified childminders in every region, so there is always a suitable childminder near you.

Our locations operate in all regions of the Netherlands, from Amsterdam to Groningen and from Limburg to Friesland. Through this national coverage, we can serve parents throughout the Netherlands with local expertise and personal guidance.

Gastouderland complies with all requirements of the Childcare Act (Wet Kinderopvang) and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). All our childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang/LRK) and hold the required diplomas, Child First Aid certificate and Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag/VOG). Adult housemates from 18 years and structural visitors must also have a VOG.

We carry out annual risk assessments for safety and health at the childcare locations and visit childminders at least twice a year. Our consultants check whether the home meets all safety and hygiene requirements. Gastouderland is a member of the Disputes Committee and has both an internal and external complaints procedure.
