De Sterke Beer is a small-scale daycare center located at Uitwierderweg 42 in Delfzijl. We provide care for up to 5-6 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our goal is to offer a safe and familiar environment where each child has the space to develop at their own pace.

The location does not meet several statutory quality requirements. There is recurrence on multiple points. The overall situation and number of shortcomings mean that recovery through a recovery offer was not deemed appropriate.

- Pedagogical practice meets the four basic objectives: emotional safety, personal competence, social competence and socialisation

- Back-up staff on Fridays without a staff member present at the childcare (approx. 12.00-12.30), whilst BSO children are being picked up

- No deployment of pedagogical policy staff member/coach in 2025 due to private circumstances of the holder
- First aid arrangement insufficient: back-up staff on Fridays does not hold a first aid certificate, meaning no qualified first aid is present
- Safety and health policy lacks concrete description of continuous policy development process
- Pedagogical policy lacks three mandatory components: mentor consultations with parents, three-hour rule, supervision of trainees
- Indoor space not appropriately arranged: too many large pieces of furniture and toys obstruct walking routes and children's play
