Summary

This inspection report concerns an investigation for registration of childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) Carter in Dordrecht, conducted on 12 January 2026. The host parent, Mrs Carter, provides care at the home address of requesting parents, mediated by host parent agency ViaViela Rotterdam. The provision reasonably meets the quality requirements of the Childcare Act. Four childcare places have been requested for children aged 0 and 1 year. The host parent holds the required diplomas, a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and has drawn up a risk assessment. Safety measures have been taken such as smoke detectors, socket covers and stair gates. Two points for attention were discussed for the future: accessibility of the stairs when children grow bigger, and storage of medicines. No violations were identified and no recovery offer was made.
