BSO Zuidlaarderveen IKC De Schuthoek is located within primary school De Schuthoek in the heart of Zuidlaarderveen. We are part of Stichting Baasis and provide after-school care for up to 22 children in one BSO group. Our location is situated on the edge of the village, allowing us to make optimal use of the surrounding nature. Together with the primary school, we maintain several vegetable gardens where children learn about vegetables, herbs and the importance of sustainability. Our experienced pedagogical staff provide a safe and challenging environment where children can relax, play and discover new things after school. We work closely with the primary school to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care.

GGD Drenthe conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 17 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Zuidlaarderveen IKC De Schuthoek in Zuidlaarderveen. This after-school care (BSO) of Kids First accommodates a maximum of 22 children aged 4 to 12 years and uses spaces within primary school De Schuthoek. After-school care is provided on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, with in practice only 1 to 2 children per day. All examined domains meet the statutory quality requirements: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. The safety and health policy is complete and up-to-date. Staffing levels and child-to-staff ratio are in order, there is an arranged backup system, and each child has a fixed mentor. The indoor space (84 m²) and outdoor space meet the requirements. No points for improvement or violations were identified. The holder has approved the report.
