About this care
Welcome to Kids Lodge BSO Wijs! Nieuwegein Jeugdland, located in the beautiful Jeugdland area at Helmkruid 1 in Nieuwegein. As part of Kids Lodge, we offer a unique after-school care experience where children aged 4 to 12 can play and discover outdoors all year round.
Our BSO is situated in a natural environment where children are given the freedom to play, explore and grow. We believe in the power of outdoor play and provide children with space to experience their own adventures. In our safe outdoor environment, children can build huts, play hide and seek, and discover nature. Children's coordination and motor skills are developed in a playful way, while the social aspect also plays an important role in our approach.
With a maximum capacity of 18 children, we work in basic groups, allowing us to give personal attention to each child. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since May 1, 2021 under number 149330479. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the after-school care (BSO) Kids Lodge Outdoor Nieuwegein Helmkruid 1 on 12 May 2026, part of BSO Wijs! B.V. This was a follow-up investigation into two previous shortcomings: missing written agreements with parents and missing Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and registrations in the Childcare Personnel Register for supervisors of the construction playground. This follow-up inspection showed that both points have been remedied. The care at the other location has stopped and the Jeugdland location has reopened. The supervisors are no longer present during childcare hours; one supervisor now holds a VOG and is linked. The location now meets all assessed requirements for general quality conditions and compliance and staff and groups.
