About this care
BSO Usquert is located in the brand-new child centre at Burgemeester Geerlingstraat 2 in the heart of Usquert. We provide after-school care for up to 15 children aged 4 to 13. From the moment the school bell rings, FREE TIME begins with us. We organise fun and exciting activities, often tailored to the children’s interests. The modern building, completed in 2022, offers plenty of space to play, explore and relax. We work closely with primary school De Noordster, so children can come to us safely straight after school.
Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 466956605 since 24 October 2022. We are part of Stichting Goud, an organisation that provides both childcare and primary education in the municipalities of Groningen, Het Hogeland and Westerkwartier. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Groningen conducted an annual inspection at BSO Usquert of Stichting Goud Kinderopvang on 25 November 2025. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates a maximum of 15 children aged 4 to 12 years and is located on the premises of OBS Usquert. The inspection involved an unannounced visit during which documents were reviewed, the premises were inspected, and discussions were held with staff members. All assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health were fully complied with. No points for improvement or violations were identified. Staff hold valid Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and are correctly registered in the persons register. The staff-child ratio is well maintained and a functioning mentorship system is in place. The reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse is actively promoted, including through recent training evenings. The GGD advises the municipality of Het Hogeland not to take enforcement measures.
