About this care
Welcome to KC Kees – our small-scale after-school care located at Dorpsweg 1a in Poederoijen. We are part of Kindercentrum Kees, a Christian organisation with an open admission policy that has been providing committed childcare in the heart of the Altena-Bommelerwaard since 2008.
Our BSO location on Dorpsweg is designed for a maximum of 6 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. The small group size ensures calm, overview and lots of personal attention. We pick children up from Juliana van Stolbergschool (about 1.7 km away) and from other schools in Poederoijen and the surrounding area; parents pay € 3.50 per pick-up or drop-off ride. After school a healthy, warm meal is served (€ 3.50) or children can bring their own food.
Our guiding principle is “responsibility and balance”. We offer a homely atmosphere in which children can choose for themselves: relax with a book, do something creative, play outside in the garden or play a game together. During school holidays we are open all day and turn it into a party with themed activities, trips to the playground or sports and game days.

We follow a clear daily rhythm that matches home life, so children feel at ease right away. Summary
This Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report concerns a follow-up investigation at after-school care (BSO) KC Kees in Poederoijen, conducted on 17 November 2025. This investigation followed an annual inspection of 29 April 2025 in which three shortcomings were identified. The provider received a formal directive from the municipality on 13 October 2025 with a two-week recovery period. The follow-up investigation shows that all three violations have been resolved: the pedagogical policy now contains a concrete description of the settling-in policy, the staff-to-child ratio is correct (1 to 6 instead of 1 to 7), and a separate washbasin has been installed at the toilet so that children no longer wash their hands in the kitchen after toilet use. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
