About this care
BSO Emma AvdDoeslaan is our second location for after-school care, located at Adriaen van der Doeslaan 15 in Rotterdam. This branch accommodates up to 25 children and is specially designed for our 7+ group. In this atmospheric library, children can not only read and borrow books, but also participate in creative and educational activities. Sandy and Robin are here every weekday to guide the children.
We pay a lot of attention to technology and creativity. Children can get started with different materials and techniques: building, crafting, designing and experimenting. Whether it's a technical construction, an artistic project or discovering new digital skills - we encourage children to use their imagination and discover new talents.
Our BSO is only accessible to students of Kindcentrum Emma. We provide care five days a week, except for the week between Christmas and New Year. Even when the school is closed, during holidays and study days, care is available. With a 52-week contract, this includes all closing days of the Emma school.

Summary
The follow-up inspection on 26 March 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Emma AvdDoeslaan in Rotterdam shows mixed results. Four of the five previously identified shortcomings have been resolved: administration (written agreements), safety and health policy, domestic violence and child abuse reporting code, and reporting, consultation and notification obligations. Staff now have sufficient knowledge and documentation is in order. However, one violation regarding information to parents had not yet been resolved. The website contained incorrect information about dispute-free declarations and lacked essential information about multi-location care on school holidays. Only after repeated insistence was the website updated on 31 March 2026. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Rotterdam to proceed with enforcement.
