About this care
Voorschool Pippeloentje is a daycare centre located in the western city centre of Amsterdam at Zaandijkstraat 3. We are part of Stichting Dynamo Voorscholen, an organisation with over 30 years of experience in providing early childhood education for children aged 2 to 4. Our location has 16 places and uses horizontal groups so that toddlers can play and develop together with peers of the same age.
At Pippeloentje, learning through play is central. We offer a safe and familiar environment where children can explore in a bright, spacious indoor area and a partially covered outdoor space designed especially for toddlers. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children using recognised VVE programmes (Early Childhood Education) to stimulate language development and other skills. Nature plays an important role: outdoor play, discovery and movement are part of our daily programme.
Parents can choose a morning or afternoon session of about three hours, allowing flexible childcare. We believe every child should have the space to be themselves and grow at their own pace. Summary
Voorschool Pippeloentje is a small-scale preschool (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Amsterdam-West with a maximum of 16 places for children aged 2-4. On 19 May 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection. All assessed quality requirements (pedagogical climate, staffing, safety, health and early childhood education) are fully met. The inspection praises the warm, stable pedagogical climate: children experience emotional security through fixed routines, clear announcements and sensitive responses from the team. The Piramide early childhood education programme is offered systematically, development is tracked in KIJK! and aligned with themes that are visibly reflected in the activity corners. Parents are actively involved through themed booklets, parent-child activities and newsletters. Cooperation with primary school Onze Amsterdamse School is established, including a warm transition for all children. The team consists of sufficient qualified staff (2 certified, 2 in training), a trainee and a temporarily deployed pedagogical policy staff member from another Dynamo location. Safety and health regulations are meticulously followed, including hand hygiene and the reporting code. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
