About this care
Stichting BSO De Rozentuin is located on the premises of Jenaplanschool Walter Gillijns at Rietbergstraat 2 in Zutphen. We provide before- and after-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 30 December 2008 under number 154084372.
Our pedagogical policy is based on the Basic Principles of Jenaplan. This means we offer every child pedagogically secure care with ample opportunities for development. We incorporate elements from the Jenaplan vision, which gives children space to grow in a familiar environment. Activities are designed to stimulate children in their development without taking full control.
Care takes place both inside and outside the school building. We use the playground and gymnasium of the school, as well as the immediate surroundings. During school holidays and study days we remain open, so parents have continuous childcare for their children. We work closely with the teachers of Jenaplanschool Walter Gillijns, ensuring a smooth transition between school and childcare.

Summary
BSO De Rozentuin at Rietbergstraat 2 in Zutphen provides before- and after-school care (BSO) and holiday care for up to 40 children. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 22 July 2025. All assessed areas – pedagogical climate, staff/groups, and accommodation – meet legal requirements. Children experience a relaxed atmosphere, may choose where they play, are offered bread with toppings, and all have a fixed mentor whom parents can see via the Bitcare app. The team consists of sufficient qualified, Dutch-speaking staff with a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG); the pedagogical policy officer is also present. The indoor and outdoor spaces are safe, spacious, and rich in play materials; an additional gymnasium is available two days per week. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
