Peuteropvang De Schatkist

Welcome to Peuteropvang De Schatkist, located on the ground floor of IKC De Schatkist at Smaragd 27 in the Edelstenenwijk district of Heerhugowaard. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe, homely and stimulating environment. Our spaces are designed on a small scale, so your child quickly feels at home. We work closely with De Schatkist primary school, ensuring a smooth transition to the kindergarten class. Play-based learning is central to our approach. We use the VVE program 'Uk en Puk' to stimulate your child's language development. Through thematic work, book start activities and joint celebrations, toddlers learn new words and skills in a playful way. We read aloud every day, sing songs and make use of our studio where we can craft and draw. There is also plenty of space outside to play and move on our own playground. Our toddler care is open on weekdays from 08.30 to 12.30. You can choose between regular or flexible care, tailored to your needs. For children who need extra support, we offer a VE toddler group. These extra sessions are reimbursed by the municipality. We work according to the Jenaplan principles: learning together, playing together and celebrating together. We believe it is important that every child can develop at their own pace and we provide a warm and involved environment. We look forward to welcoming your child to our toddler care.
