About this care
Peuteropvang De Pijlstaart is located within primary school De Pijlstaart at Amsterdamsestraatweg 1 in Utrecht. As part of Kind&co ludens, we provide toddler care with pre-school education (VE) for children aged 2 to 4. Our facility has twelve places and uses a horizontal group structure, where children are grouped by age.
We focus on language development and school readiness. Children with a VE indication receive extra support in Dutch language skills: speaking, listening and learning new words. We work closely with primary school De Pijlstaart to ensure a smooth transition to group 1. The language method we use is seamlessly continued in group 1 after the toddler period.
Our pedagogical approach is designed to make every child feel comfortable and enjoy learning. We provide a rich environment with areas such as a play kitchen, construction corner and reading nook. We sing, do crafts and read aloud. Parents are welcome to stay for a chat on the sofa or to do a puzzle together with their child.

Summary
Toddler daycare De Pijlstaart in Utrecht, part of Stichting Kind & Co Ludens, was inspected on 3 February 2026. The unannounced annual investigation showed that the location meets all assessed requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups. The pedagogical practice was assessed as adequate. The daycare offers subsidized early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) through the Uk and Puk program to 12 toddler places. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement.
