Klein Kroost is our daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Ter Aar, located within IKC de Vaart. Klein Kroost consists of 3 groups; a baby group for up to 6 children aged 0-1, a toddler group for up to 10 children aged 1-2, and a preschool group for up to 16 children aged 2-4.
The indoor space radiates a homely atmosphere, is hygienically and safely furnished, tailored to the children's ages. The preschoolers can play (freely) in the various play corners or take part in structured (VVE) activities in the central hall. For the babies, the group room offers plenty of stimulation while also providing a safe spot for the littlest ones. The toddler group has a clear, welcoming layout with various challenging play corners.
Klein Kroost has a beautiful outdoor play area, with hiding spots, a natural water channel, a willow gate, and vegetable garden boxes. There is plenty of room to run, do gymnastics on the grass, or bake treats in the outdoor kitchen. The children sow and care for plants, with the lovely reward of harvesting strawberries and tomatoes. The outdoor area can be divided into two sections, so the younger children can also enjoy being outside to the fullest. The babies can safely enjoy the outdoors in our natural outdoor playpen.
