About this care
Childcare centre Kasteel is located on the quiet Talmalaan in the Soestdijk – 't Hart neighbourhood. This characteristic building houses Kasteel daycare, Kasteel out-of-school care, and Toren playgroup. We are part of Bink Kinderopvang. The daycare has two baby groups (0-3 years) and two toddler groups (2-4 years), with spacious group rooms where each child can develop at their own pace.
Our newly landscaped, shady garden has many trees and shrubs. Babies have their own enclosed outdoor space where they can play safely. Toddlers have a separate renovated square with a bicycle route. Indoors, there is a separate play hall for the baby groups where crawlers can climb and clamber. We also have an atelier for creative activities.
We value a varied activity programme. Our pedagogical professionals work with the Gordon method and four pedagogical principles: I am welcome, we do it together, playfully discover and explore, and move and stay balanced. Each child has a mentor who monitors development and holds an annual observation meeting with parents.

The pedagogical policy is implemented through the Uk & Puk programme, in which development in language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional areas is tracked in a structured manner and tailored to individual children. Parents are actively involved through home visits, theme meetings, parent consultations and play-along sessions. All staff members hold the required diplomas, VE certificates and 3F language proficiency; one third staff member is currently completing VE training. Safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code, medication protocol and first aid certificates are in order. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
