About this care
Kindcentrum De Ark is located at Burgemeester Kuiperslaan 17 in the centre of Oldemarkt and is part of Stichting PCO Accrete. We provide Christian daycare (KDV) for children aged 0–4. Our centre works with units: children are grouped by developmental stage rather than age, allowing every child to grow at his or her own pace. Our qualified pedagogical staff are on hand Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., giving working parents in our region flexible childcare. We offer a safe, homely environment in which Christian values such as neighbourly love, forgiveness and respect are central. Because our childcare and primary school share the same building, children can move seamlessly from the toddler group to the early-years class. Summary
Kindcentrum De Ark in Oldemarkt, part of Accrete, received an unannounced inspection by GGD IJsselland (Municipal Health Service) on 15 June 2026. The annual investigation showed that the location meets all assessed quality requirements in the domains of pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The pedagogical practice is positive: staff demonstrate sensitive and responsive behavior, children are given room for self-direction and are stimulated in their development. The early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) is well organized with sufficient hours, qualified staff, and a clear coaching plan. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality of Steenwijkerland is: no enforcement action.
