KDV Talander

Welcome to KDV Talander, our daycare center in Sittard. We are located in Kindcentrum Sittard at Vastradastraat 2. As part of Istia childcare, we provide care for children aged 2 to 4 years, with personal attention and small-scale care as our core values. Our childcare is based on the anthroposophical principles of Waldorf education, the same vision as Vrije School Talander. We believe in the balanced development of head, heart and hands. In our three beautiful, cozy light rooms, children have all the space to play, discover and grow at their own pace. The homely interior with soft colors provides security, safety and a pleasant atmosphere. Young children experience their environment intensely with their senses. The toys are made of natural materials such as wool, cotton and wood. Outside is played frequently. Our toddler group becomes a combination group in the afternoon, where BSO children from Waldorf school Talander join. During free play, the supervisors do household chores, and those who want to help may do so. We wash windows, clean toys or bake something tasty. Everyday things from life! We consciously choose organic food. For children with allergies or special dietary needs, we make appropriate arrangements with parents. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in the anthroposophical approach to young children and provide warm, personal care.
