About this care
Welcome to Kibeo Carlstraat Scharendijke, a small-scale daycare centre located at Carlstraat 11 in the heart of Scharendijke. We provide care for up to 25 children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, familiar environment where every child has plenty of room to grow and play.
Children can play both indoors and outdoors. In our garden they discover nature and enjoy play equipment that invites movement. Inside you will find cosy play corners where children can do crafts, build and engage in role play. These activities stimulate not only imagination but also fine motor skills and social interaction.
Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every day to give children a great day. We follow the home routine as much as possible so that your child quickly feels at ease. Thanks to our close cooperation with Helcherseeschool primary school – we are located in the same building – our activities dovetail seamlessly with the development that continues later at school. We offer Early Childhood Education (ECE) so that toddlers can already get used to school skills in a playful way.

GGD Zeeland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 21 May 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Kibeo Carlstraat in Scharendijke. The location provides care for 25 children aged 0 to 4 years and works with the Uk & Puk preschool education programme. Overall, the location meets the quality requirements, with positive findings regarding pedagogical practice, staff deployment, and accommodation. However, two shortcomings were identified in the area of early childhood education. One violation concerned failure to work in accordance with the pedagogical work plan (deviating opening hours and activities); this has been resolved following a recovery offer. A second violation concerns the deployment of non-early childhood education (VE)-qualified staff and the lack of visible implementation of the early childhood education theme in the group room. The GGD advises the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland to enforce.
