At daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Het Kevertje, we offer small-scale childcare in a familiar, home-like atmosphere. Our location at Westerkade 36 in Utrecht Centrum is specially designed for children from 0 to 4 years old. We have a baby group with a maximum of 9 children, supervised by 2 qualified childcare workers, and a toddler group with a maximum of 14 children. This ensures personal attention and a safe environment where children can develop to their full potential. Our approach focuses on a fixed daily routine for toddlers, with care moments, practicing English, reading aloud, singing, dancing and outdoor play at the heart of everything we do. We believe in the power of continuity of staff, with our team members working a minimum of 24 hours per week. This helps build trusting relationships between children and childcare workers. Safety is our top priority. We use fingerprint scanning at the entrance and have CCTV cameras indoors and outdoors. We also have CO2 monitors and a fire alarm system in place. We comply with all guidelines and our staff hold a First Aid for Children (EHAK) certificate. We offer a complete package, including meals, nappies, birthday presents and Sinterklaas gifts.
