We support parents with applying for and managing childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Our consultants and benefit coach help with the application, changes, and any objection procedures. Parents can get a substantial portion of care costs reimbursed by the government. The maximum hourly rate for benefit is set annually by the tax authorities. The costs for childminder (gastouder) care consist of two parts: the childminder's hourly rate and agency costs of €0.85 per care hour (minimum €30, maximum €100 per month). Childminders set their own hourly rate, usually around the maximum benefit rate of the tax authorities. There are no registration costs. Parents can request a personalised calculation based on their situation. Through childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag), a substantial portion of costs is reimbursable. Agency costs can be paid by the childminder or requesting parent, with childminders able to use these as a deductible expense.

Our screening of childminders is thorough and ongoing. New childminders complete a training and registration trajectory including first aid (EHBO) certification. All childminders are registered in the LRK and Personenregister Kinderopvang. Consultants visit childminders at least twice a year for guidance and assessment. Safety risks are inventoried annually and evaluation discussions take place with all parties involved. Childminders regularly attend refresher training on pedagogical work, reporting code for child abuse, and fire safety.

Gastouderbureau Roodkapje complies with all legal requirements and is affiliated with the Brancheorganisatie Kinderopvang & KennisNetwerk GastouderOpvang (KNGO). All locations hold the GGD quality mark and score 100% on annual inspections. Our childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and work according to our pedagogical policy plan. We apply a reporting code for child abuse and conduct annual risk assessments for safe care locations.
