About this care
BSO Max het musje is a small-scale after-school care facility located at Karveel 39 1, 8231DN Lelystad. We provide care for up to 11 children aged 4 to 12 years. Registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 597071822 since 25 July 2024, we meet all legal quality standards. Our pedagogical approach focuses on ensuring every child feels seen and heard. Children are given the space to be themselves and make their own choices, supported by our qualified childcare professionals when needed.
We work closely with local primary schools and offer after-school care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During school holidays, care is also available. Our BSO is part of the Christian childcare organization Max het musje, which has been active in Lelystad since 2007. We operate under the supervision of GGD Flevoland and provide a safe, homely environment where children can play, explore and relax after a day at school.

Summary
BSO Max het Musje is a Christian after-school care (BSO) in Lelystad with places for 11 children aged 4–12. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection took place on 28 April 2025. Following a recovery offer, the BSO now meets all legal requirements. The atmosphere is relaxed, children are given plenty of freedom of choice, and staff work in accordance with the pedagogical and safety plans. There were four areas for improvement that were resolved through a recovery offer: the missing location number in the National Childcare Register (LRK), the hour allocation of the pedagogical policy staff member, the missing emergency response plan (fire), and the failure to publish the most recent inspection report online. All staff members hold the correct qualifications and Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG). The rooms meet the required standards and parents are well informed via a parent portal. There is no parent committee, but parents are actively involved. The municipality has been advised not to pursue enforcement action.
