Violations

• The safety and health policy is not being followed in practice: no soap in the toilets, preventing children from washing their hands in accordance with hygiene guidelines
• The gate to the kitchen/bar area is open, allowing children to access the bar where (empty) crates of beer and energy drinks are stored
• The exterior gate remains open after entry
• The risk assessment is not up to date: risks associated with the presence of alcohol and energy drinks in the sports canteen have not been included in the policy
• New staff members are not familiar with the applicable arrangements at the location

Summary

Sport BSO HIP in Brummen, an after-school care (BSO) for children aged 7–13 located in a sports canteen, was subject to a follow-up inspection on 5 February 2026 following previously identified shortcomings. The GGD found that the provider has not implemented any recovery measures and that recurrence has occurred. The most significant violations concern non-compliance with the safety and health policy: no soap in the toilets, an open gate to the kitchen/bar area where alcohol and energy drinks are stored, and an open exterior gate. The provider states that the location has been barely used since December 2025 due to declining child numbers, but the GGD emphasises that as long as the location remains registered, it must comply with the law. The location violations have not been resolved.
