About this care
Welcome to Kids Lodge In de Rups, our after-school care (BSO) located at Heideweg 2 in Zeist. We are situated in a green, wooded area and provide care for up to 19 children aged 4 to 12.
Our qualified staff pick up children from the following schools using our BSO bus: Montessori Griffestijn, Het Spoor and Commeniusschool. We collect children from Damiaanschool Kerckebosch by car or BSO bus, and we walk to Kerckeboschschool.
Children can enjoy adventurous outdoor activities such as building huts and exploring nature. We organize creative workshops including arts and crafts to stimulate every child's imagination and creativity.
A special feature of our BSO is our collaboration with Warande, a care home for elderly people. We regularly organize activities where young and old meet and have fun together. These intergenerational encounters contribute to children's social development.
Our BSO is open Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:30. We provide a safe and challenging environment where children can relax, play and discover new things after school.Read more

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected BSO Kids Lodge Zeist Heideweg 2 on 17 March 2026, located within residential center Warande. The location meets requirements in all examined domains: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. In safety and health, an initial violation was identified: a Warande resident walked through the fenced-off after-school care (BSO) section of the hallway during care hours, while policy prohibits this. The pedagogical professional did not notice this. Following a recovery offer, the provider took immediate measures: reiterated agreements with Warande, placed a stop sign on the door, installed an emergency button, and made agreements with children. As a result, the location now meets requirements. The GGD advises the municipality to take no enforcement action.
