About this care
Fay is an after-school care facility (BSO) operated by Kindercentrum AylaGaya B.V. at Asterweg 20P 1 in Amsterdam. Registered in the National Childcare Register under number 232024765 since 1 January 2010, the location accommodates up to 84 children aged 4 to 12. Fay is one of four childcare sites managed by our organisation in Amsterdam-Noord, together providing a total of 222 places.
Our BSO is easily accessible and situated in a quiet, child-friendly neighbourhood. We welcome children from various local primary schools and offer a safe, homely environment where they can play, relax and develop after school. Kindercentrum AylaGaya B.V. has established an active parent committee for Fay consisting of five members. The committee contributes ideas on policy, activities and the partnership between parents and our pedagogical staff. Summary
BSO Fay on Asterweg in Amsterdam-Noord received its annual unannounced Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on March 31, 2025. The child center provides after-school care (BSO) to 84 children (ages 4-12) in four home-style groups and uses the schoolyard of De IJsbreker and its gymnasium. All assessed quality requirements (pedagogical climate, staffing, group stability, safety and health) are amply met; the report was approved without any remarks. The center has an active, child-focused team that offers structured activities, maintains clear rules, and keeps in good contact with parents through dedicated mentors. Staff shortages are covered by regular, qualified temporary workers; sufficient qualified professionals are employed in accordance with the legal ratio. The safety and health policy is complete and consistently followed: outdoor play takes place within demarcated areas under continuous supervision, and transition periods run smoothly. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The operator did not submit a statement of objection. The GGD advises the municipality to take note of the report for information purposes only; enforcement is not necessary.
