Welcome to daycare De Zwaaghalsjes, a brand-new childcare location in the heart of Zwaag where children from 0 years enjoy a wonderful place to grow and flourish. We are a small-scale facility with 32 places, part of child centre Het Ooievaarsnest and operating under Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland. With two clear age groups – a baby group for children 0-2 years and a toddler group for children 2-4 years – we tailor care and activities perfectly to your child’s developmental stage. Our baby room is designed as a cosy living room: calm colours, a snug play-pen, a quiet sleeping room and a comfortable sofa where you can give a bottle in peace. For the toddler group we have arranged playful corners, including a large indoor sandpit, so children can explore, play and learn at their own pace. The spacious green garden invites outdoor play and motor development; we are often found outside. We offer Early Childhood Education (VVE), through which toddlers playfully work on language, vocabulary and social skills. The communal lunch is a pleasant moment where children learn to spread their own sandwich and language input naturally continues during table conversations. Our experienced pedagogical staff know every child and understand exactly what each one needs. Thanks to the combination of toddler group and full daycare you can choose mornings, full days or a flexible mix – without waiting lists. Curious? You are warmly invited for a tour.
