Welcome to Zuss Childcare at Koningin Wilhelminalaan 22 in Schalkhaar. We are a small-scale daycare centre that welcomes up to 32 children each day, divided into two vertical groups. Children stay with us from 10 weeks to 4 years old and remain in the same group for four consecutive years. This creates a warm, family-like environment where children grow up with familiar friends and consistent pedagogical staff. We deliberately choose vertical grouping because it allows children to seek the age group where they feel most comfortable. They learn from and with each other: a toddler proudly helps a baby with a pacifier, while a one-year-old watches in fascination as older children build towers. This natural mix brings calm, security and stimulates development at every level. Our location is open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 07:30-18:00 (07:00 on request). Parents can opt for fixed or flexible days and choose between full days, mornings or afternoons. We follow a clear pedagogical policy plan that is inspected annually by the GGD. Within this plan, the healthy development of every child is central: physical, social-emotional, creative, linguistic and intellectual. Our team consists of experienced, VVE-trained pedagogical staff with additional certificates such as paediatric first aid, emergency response, baby massage, Dunstan baby language and toddler yoga. We use the child-tracking system Kijk! to carefully monitor each child’s development and tailor our activities accordingly. This way, every child receives the rest, structure and stimuli they need at that moment.
