Zuidwestervilla

Welcome to Zuidwestervilla, our daycare centre located in the multifunctional De Zuidwester building at Gasthuislaan 88 in Steenwijk. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in one vertical group, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. Our bright, cosy rooms are set in a beautiful, rural building with a warm, homely atmosphere. At Zuidwestervilla the child is always at the centre. Our dedicated team of pedagogical staff guide and support every child’s development. We follow the Pyramid method, a recognised Early Childhood Education programme that stimulates language development and lays a solid foundation for primary school. Seasonal themes such as Animal Day, Sinterklaas and Children’s Book Week are woven into playful, educational activities. Each day begins with a personal hand-over at drop-off. The daily programme is linked to the current theme. We serve healthy meals, provide plenty of rest and free play, and give children lots of time outdoors. Our outdoor area invites running, building, balancing and exploring—getting dirty is part of learning! Babies follow their own sleeping and feeding rhythm. Our fees include standard meals, care products and activities. We carefully document every child’s development in writing and with photos. At pick-up there is ample time for a personal update. At Zuidwestervilla, parents and children quickly feel at home.
