Zo op 't Schakeltje

Welcome to toddler care Zo op ’t Schakeltje, located in the heart of Sint-Annaland at Schoolstraat 36. We are part of Zo Kinderopvang, an organization with over 25 years of experience in providing warm, safe and development-oriented childcare. Our location is specially designed for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years and accommodates up to 14 children per session. At Zo op ’t Schakeltje we believe that play is the most powerful way of learning. Our pedagogical staff create a rich learning environment where toddlers discover, experiment and grow through play. We work with fixed sessions, giving children structure and recognizability. Our cozy furnished space invites imaginative play, while our sheltered outdoor area is fully adapted to toddlers' needs. We offer various activities that match the developmental stage of toddlers. Children can do arts and crafts with different materials, sing during our music moments, and play and discover outdoors. We pay much attention to language development through reading aloud, singing and conversations. Additionally, we work with Early Childhood Education (ECE), preparing toddlers for primary school through play. Our small-scale setup ensures lots of personal attention and a homely atmosphere. We work with regular staff who know each child well and closely follow their development. Parents are actively involved in their child's development and we are always open for consultation and questions.
