Zo op het Podium

Welcome to Zo op het Podium, our daycare centre at Waterlinie 7 in Steenbergen. We provide full-day childcare for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely, secure setting. Our building shares a roof with Maria Regina primary school, Brok drum school and our own after-school care, creating a familiar environment from babyhood right through to the first years of school. Inside, we organise children into horizontal groups: a baby group, a toddler group, a younger pre-school group and an older pre-school group. Each bright, spacious room is fitted with natural materials and calming colours that match the children’s age and developmental stage, giving every child room to play, explore and grow at their own pace. Outdoors we have a discovery garden where children can run, climb and play every day. Rain or shine, we pull on waterproofs and head outside. Babies have their own sheltered outdoor area next to their room so they too can enjoy fresh air in complete safety. Our qualified pedagogical staff deliver the Early Childhood Education programme (VVE) in the pre-school groups. This programme is woven into daily activities and supports language, numeracy and social skills. Children with an ECE referral receive extra individual support when needed. We do not offer stand-alone pre-school care; ECE is always part of our regular daycare. In short, Zo op het Podium offers children aged 0 to 4 a place where they feel at home and can discover who they are and who they want to become through play.
