Zo op het Podium

Welcome to Zo op het Podium, our after-school care (BSO) location in Steenbergen! We are located within the Het Podium school building, alongside Maria Regina Primary School. This means children from grade 3 can walk straight from their classroom to our BSO without leaving the building – safe and familiar. Our focus is on fun, growth, and connection. We work with three age groups: the Sprinters (4-6 years), the Steppers (5-8 years), and the Skaters (7-12 years). Each group has its own space tailored to their world of experience. The Sprinters enjoy their cozy corners, while the Steppers and Skaters gather in our bright, spacious communal area. There’s even a chillpit for relaxing with a book or just taking a break. We believe children learn best by doing. That’s why we offer daily themed activities. Think sports and games in our own gym, cooking in our child-friendly kitchen island, creative crafts, drama, and dance. Children are encouraged to help decide how their afternoon unfolds, learning to make choices and building self-confidence. During school holidays, we organize a vacation program full of adventures. We use not only our own spaces but also the school’s playrooms and playground. There’s always something new to discover and experience! Our pedagogical staff are ready every day with a smile and attention for each child. We believe it’s important for children to be themselves and feel safe to grow. Through our parent app, we keep parents updated on all their children’s adventures. Zo op het Podium is more than just childcare. It’s a place where children make lifelong friends, discover new things, and look forward to coming back. We make every day a celebration!
