Welcome to Smallsteps Zeeparel, our daycare centre at Kristalweg 107 in Delft. We provide care for 77 children aged 0 to 4, arranged in horizontal age groups so every child receives the attention they need. Everything we do is built on learning through joy. Our certified pedagogical staff follow the Smallsteps approach: a warm, homely atmosphere where children feel safe to explore. We offer recognised early-years education (VVE), gently introducing language, numeracy and social skills through play. Our large, natural garden is one big adventure. Toddlers climb and balance on the play equipment while the youngest enjoy the sandpit or our special baby garden. We love outdoor sleeping: under the canopy or in a comfortable pram in the fresh air. This gives children plenty of vitamin D and helps them get used to natural sounds. Music, dance and movement are central to our programme. We sing together every morning, make our own instruments and move to toddler dance or yoga. Creative expression is encouraged through weekly painting, crafting and modelling activities. We also cook and bake regularly, from making applesauce to preparing sandwiches for a garden picnic. Healthy meals and snacks are served throughout the day, including a hot lunch, fresh fruit and drinks. We cater for allergies and dietary preferences such as vegetarian or halal. Nappy changing, bottle feeding and naps in our quiet bedrooms are all part of the daily routine. You can follow your child’s experiences through the Smallsteps app, with photos and short reports. Together we ensure every child grows up shining like a real pearl.
