Woest Zuid de Baanbreker

Welcome to Woest Zuid De Baanbreker, the club for cool boys and girls from Kindcentrum De Baanbreker located at Papaverweg 257 in Amsterdam. From our own clubhouse inside the school we dash straight onto the playground for a game of football or an improvised adventure in the natural play garden. Indoors there is plenty of space to play freely or, if you feel like doing nothing at all, simply to chill on the sofa. Our after-school care accommodates up to 68 children aged 4 to 12. We work with two clear base groups: Flink for children from 4 to about 7 years old and Stoer for children from about 7 to 12 years old. Every child has a fixed base group and a personal mentor who meets parents once a year to discuss the child’s development. The mentor is also the first point of contact for any questions parents may have about their child. Outdoor play is at the heart of Woest Zuid De Baanbreker. We create free spaces in the city where children can run, climb, jump and discover the joy of movement. Our “woeste” workers are young at heart, never stand on the sidelines and dare to be silly. The team is carefully composed with a balanced male/female ratio and brings together a variety of qualities. Since 1 April 2024 we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 169843774 and are supervised by the GGD Amsterdam. Our working methods are laid down in the pedagogical policy plan, which covers safety, health, staffing and the organisation of activities. The language spoken in the group is Dutch. In short, Woest Zuid De Baanbreker is the place where children can let off steam in their own world right after school, guided by enthusiastic professionals who still recognise the child within themselves.
