Windas

Welcome to BSO Het Windas, our cheerful after-school care located in the heart of Schiedam. We are situated at Nachtegaallaan 2, in the same building as primary school Het Windas, with whom we work closely. Each day we welcome around 40 children who, after a busy school day, can come to us for relaxation, play and companionship. Our facility has its own space, decorated in a colourful and homely style. Tables and chairs are ready for shared meals, while children can choose from a wide range of activities: from arts and crafts and building with small materials to cosy board games and relaxed reading in our book corner. We also use the school gym, where we regularly organise group games and sports activities. The school corridors sometimes transform into creative construction sites where impressive structures emerge. Outside, the children play on the adventurous playground of Het Windas primary school, where they can run, climb and romp to their heart's content. Our permanent, experienced and enthusiastic pedagogical staff are ready every day to make the afternoon unforgettable together with the children. We offer various activities daily, allowing children to choose what appeals to them. The time at our BSO is seen as valuable free time in which children can relax in their own way after school. The Mundo Activity Team visits our location regularly. These specialists provide sports and games, nature education and creative workshops. During holidays and study days, extra entertainment is on the programme with outings, special workshops and unique activities that make the holiday unforgettable. For before-school care we serve a catered breakfast, and we also coordinate the lunch-time supervision. This way we are there for children and parents throughout the day.
