Wiedewei Maasdam

Welcome to Wiedewei Maasdam, our green after-school care where school children aged 4 to 12 discover nature through play. We are located at Merwedestraat 58 in Maasdam and are part of Kibeo, with Wiedewei being their sustainable and natural label. Outdoor play and learning are central to our approach. Our children can sow, care for, and harvest vegetables in our garden containers. Each season brings something new to discover in our green outdoor space. We believe that playing in nature is not only physically challenging but also contributes to children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Our pedagogical approach focuses on sustainability and nature experience. We use natural materials and pay great attention to conscious nutrition. Children learn where their food comes from by experiencing it themselves in our vegetable garden. This not only stimulates their curiosity but also their respect for nature. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children can relax, play, and discover new things after school. Our after-school care has room for a maximum of 30 children, allowing us to give sufficient personal attention to each child.
