IKC Wereldwijs (Peuteropvang en KDV)

Welcome to daycare centre Wereldwijs, located in the heart of the Graan voor Visch district in Hoofddorp. As part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Wereldwijs, we provide both childcare and education for children aged 0 to 4 years at one location. Our daycare centre is set up on a small scale with two groups, ensuring everyone knows each other and your child receives the personal attention they deserve. We work according to a vertical group structure, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. Our baby group is fully designed according to Baby-Sensi principles: calm and light colours, separate areas for different activities and toys at baby height. The vertical space offers plenty of challenges with various play corners where children can discover, play and develop. Each day starts with a warm lunch that we enjoy together. We go outside daily to our green outdoor area, where children can romp and discover nature. Our pedagogical staff provide activities that match your child's interests and developmental needs, such as reading aloud, crafts and games from the Pyramid activity programme that also stimulates language development. For children aged 3.5 years who are ready, we organise activities in the kindergarten class of primary school Wereldwijs on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. This makes the transition to primary school much smaller later on. We celebrate all holidays together with the school classes, so your child becomes familiar with the school environment. Our opening hours are from 7.30 to 18.00, five days a week. We work with rotating shifts so there is always sufficient supervision. The daycare centre is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Haarlemmermeer and works closely with primary school Wereldwijs under one pedagogical vision. This way we offer your child a familiar and stimulating environment to grow and flourish.
