Watervilla

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Watervilla, located at De Vesting 1 in Steenwijk. Our unique building, specially constructed for childcare in 2003, is situated in the Woldmeenthe district and provides a warm, homely environment for children aged 4 to 12. Our after-school care consists of two BSO groups with a total of 40 places. We have two large, challenging spaces where children can play, do crafts, cook and romp around. Each group room connects to our outdoor area where children can play to their heart's content in the sandbox or with our outdoor play equipment. After school, we welcome the children with fruit, drinks and a cracker. For children arriving at 12:00, we provide a bread meal. Our pedagogical staff pick up children from all schools in Steenwijkerland and also bring them back. We work with horizontal groups and offer special 8_PLUS for children aged 8-12 who seek extra challenge and responsibility. Together with the children, we create a challenging and stimulating program. The child decides for themselves whether to participate in activities such as multimedia, building and technology, drawing, painting, dancing, reading and board games. We also organize children's meetings to hear their wishes and ideas. Additionally, attention is given to completing homework. Our location is close to the highway, ideal for parents traveling towards Meppel, Zwolle or Heerenveen. We ensure that brothers and sisters can continue to see each other, which gives all children a familiar feeling.
