Wasko Groen van Prinsterer BSO

We are BSO Groen van Prinsterer, located at Schoolstraat 20 in the heart of Oud-Alblas. As part of Wasko, a social childcare organization that has been active in the region for over 40 years, we provide after-school care for up to 22 children from grades 1 through 8. Our location is situated on the grounds of primary school Groen van Prinsterer, allowing children to safely and confidently walk to our space after school. Before and after school, children can both release and recharge their energy with us. We are known for our wide range of activities, which we access through the DoenKids activity library. The selection of activities is always done in consultation with the children themselves, as they know best where their needs lie. There is always something fun and educational to do for all ages. Of course, quietly unwinding after the school day is also possible. Everything we do is based on a positive approach. We believe that children develop better this way and that it increases their self-confidence. We look at each child's talents, monitor their development, and actively work on their growth during their time with us. Our pedagogical staff are professional, involved, and rooted in society. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, we provide joint after-school care with the children's farm in Bleskensgraaf. When there is sufficient interest, after-school care also starts at school itself on these days. This way, we offer variety while staying close to the children's experiences. Through the Parent App, parents are always kept informed of their child's adventures. Photos, updates, and practical information ensure that as a parent, you are always a little close by, wherever you are.
