Welcome to KDV Dikkie Dik, part of Wasko Kinderopvang. We are located at Koningin Wilhelminaweg 71 in Alblasserdam, in the same building as primary school JP Waale, toddler care Ookie Dookie and after-school care Lingeplein. This creates a seamless developmental line for children from their start at our daycare to leaving primary school. At KDV Dikkie Dik we know exactly what your child needs: good care combined with loving attention. Your child receives attention that matches their age and developmental stage. Our starting point is to give your child space to discover things on their own. We encourage at the right moment and provide the guidance your child needs. For the very youngest (0 to 1 year) we work with baby specialists. This allows us to look at your baby's individual needs so we can make it even better for your baby. At this location there is a lot of attention for music, singing, movement and (pre)reading. These activities not only provide a lot of fun, they are also very good for development. For example, reading not only stimulates imagination, it also encourages play and talking. KDV Dikkie Dik has 2 vertical groups (0-4 years), including 1 Christian group, 2 baby groups (0-2 years) and 1 toddler group (2+). In the Christian group there is attention for the Christian faith. Children playfully learn to get to know the Bible. The pedagogical staff on this group also have the Christian identity. Christian values and norms form the common thread in carrying out the activities. In consultation with the activity supervisor of De Alblashof, regular visits take place to this nursing home. Wasko believes it is important that children learn that it is important to be there for others. Our detached building has a spacious outdoor area where children can play and discover every day. The group rooms are cozily furnished with attention to all ages. Our pedagogical staff create a safe environment where curiosity is stimulated and children can go on a journey of discovery.
