Wasko Dikkertje Dap BSO

Welcome to BSO Dikkertje Dap, located at Harpstraat 13a in the centre of Arkel. We are part of Stichting Wasko and provide after-school care for up to 40 children in primary school groups 1 through 8. Before and after school, children can both burn off energy and recharge with us. We are known for our wide and varied activity programme, supported by the DoenKids activity library. The children themselves – together with our pedagogical staff – decide which activities they want to do, because they know best what excites them. There is always something fun and educational for every age. A special feature of our location is the spacious, professionally equipped kitchen with cooking island. For children aged 7 and older, cooking and baking are central every day. They prepare healthy snacks or small meals themselves, while playfully practising maths, language and cooperation. We are also allowed to use the adjacent school playgrounds, where children can climb and clamber to their heart’s content. Of course, there is also room to unwind after a busy school day; reading in the corner, playing a game or simply relaxing. Everything we do is based on a positive approach. We believe that children develop better this way and that their self-confidence grows. We look at each child’s talents, monitor their development and offer targeted guidance during the time they spend with us.
