Wasko de Basis KDV

Welcome to KDV De Basis, a unique location of Stichting Wasko located at Benedenveer 3 in Sliedrecht. Since November 3, 2022, we have officially opened as Wasko's first Movement Daycare. Our focus is on movement for the youngest children. We have been inspired by Emmi Pikler's theory, which emphasizes free movement space for children. This approach stimulates healthy motor development from the very first months of life. Our space is specially designed with large shapes and materials that allow children to climb and crawl over, on, and through from a young age. Additionally, the space is enriched with a sandbox and a large play mat. Our pedagogical staff create the conditions to optimize this free movement space. We offer bilingual childcare, with both Dutch and English spoken without a preferred language. KDV De Basis is a small-scale location with a homely atmosphere. We provide care for up to 16 children in a vertical group, where children aged 0 to 4 play and learn together. After daycare, children can, after re-registering, move on to Sport BSO De Basis at the same location. We believe it is important that every child feels at home and has the space to develop in their own way.
