Wasko Bij de Hand PSG

PSG Bij de Hand is a pre-school education location of Stichting Wasko, located within the reformed Johannes Calvijn School at Scheldelaan 15 in Sliedrecht. We welcome toddlers aged 2 to 4 in a safe and familiar environment where they can explore and develop through play. Thanks to our unique location within the primary school, children experience the school atmosphere at an early age, making the transition to group 1 smooth and natural. Pre-school education (VE) is central to our approach. We focus especially on language development and preventing language delays. Our pedagogical staff work thematically and offer challenging activities that connect with the toddler’s world of experience. Think of arts and crafts, reading aloud, singing, and games that stimulate vocabulary and strengthen social skills. We work closely with the internal supervisor of the Johannes Calvijn School. We use the same observation instrument, allowing us to closely monitor each child’s development and provide additional support when needed. Parents are seen as partners: we actively involve them in their child’s development and provide tips for activities to do at home, such as reading aloud. Children can attend for half or full days. We work with small groups, ensuring plenty of individual attention. Our location is tailored to the needs of toddlers: safe, small-scale, and inviting for play and discovery.
