Wasko Beatrix BSO

BSO Beatrix is located at Van der Palmstraat 8 in the centre of Papendrecht and is part of Stichting Wasko Kinderopvang, the regional childcare organisation for the Alblasserwaard. Our unit is on the ground floor of primary school IKC Beatrix, so children can walk to after-school care quickly and safely at the end of the school day. We provide care for up to 40 children from Year 1 to Year 8 (ages 4–13), both before and after school and during all school holidays. We work from a positive approach: we believe that children develop better and gain more self-confidence this way. Our pedagogical staff look at each child’s talents, monitor their development and tailor activities to the child’s needs. Children help choose the activities themselves, because they know best what they enjoy. We draw from the DoenKids activity library, giving us a wide range of creative, sporting and cultural activities. From arts & crafts and drama to football and dance—there is always something fun and educational for every age group. Of course, quietly unwinding after the school day with a book or a game is also an option. As part of IKC Beatrix we work closely with the school teachers. We align our pedagogical climate and activities so that children experience a continuous development line from school to after-school care. During school holidays we organise a special holiday programme full of exciting trips and workshops. Parents stay informed through the Wasko Parent App, where we share photos, updates and practical information. This way you are always a little bit close, wherever you are. In short: at BSO Beatrix children can let off steam and recharge after school in a familiar, safe environment. Together we create beautiful childhood memories.
