Wammes Waggel

Wammes Waggel is our after-school care group for children aged 4 to 12, located in the same building as childcare centre Bommelstein at Schoolstraat 16A in Buitenpost. We provide care before and after school hours and during school holidays. The BSO consists of two groups, Bulle Bas and Dickerdack, with room for up to 60 children in total. Our qualified staff pick the children up safely from school – several educators and the caretaker recently earned their traffic warden certificate. We follow a fixed daily routine: after arrival there is playtime, followed by fruit and joint activities. Around 12:30 we share freshly baked bread that we collect from the bakery together with the children. In the afternoon the children can enjoy a cracker and a drink and choose between crafts, outdoor play or relaxing in our cosy BSO rooms. Themes and outings make the programme extra fun. For example, we sometimes spend a whole week on a theme such as ‘water’, take all children aged 2 and older to Sanjesfertier indoor playground in Veenwouden once a year, and organise a cheerful summer party or picnic in summer. Children are also welcome to bring a friend from time to time. If a child has sports right after school, our staff will safely drop them off or pick them up. The BSO is situated on the upper floor of the building. There is a computer room and a separate space where activities such as a kids’ disco will soon be organised. Outside we have a spacious playground including a panna cage. Wammes Waggel is part of TIKO Kinderopvang and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1998.
